THIS SITE IS NO LONGER UPDATED

I DO NOT OWN A ZAURUS ANY LONGER

Tools

Nearly all files are taken from the debian arm pool.

splitvt

This ipk enables you to split you termial and is very useful if you login remotly onto your zaurus.
A screensgot of splitvt in action can be seen under the busbox section.
Splitvt requires libncurses5 which can be found at ZSI.

libslang

Langauge library as needed by most or jed.
Please note that the jed ipk below already contains libslang.
Here is the ipk.

jed

I put together all the necessary files to run jed on the zaurus.
The syntax highlighting should now work with this ipk, thanks to Mike Ressler.

If syntax highlighting does not work try the following :
  1. install your ipk the normal way
  2. at the terminal prompt, execute
    # cat /etc/jed-init.d/* > /etc/jed-defaults.sl
  3. start jed
jed
My C750 came with the keyhelper applet preinstalled. With this applet you can assign dedicated CTRL and ALT keys to the japanese only keys on the lower left side of the c7x0 keyboard. You can find keyhelper here. The page is japanese only. An example of the config file can be found here. Please keep in mind that my config file maps german "umlaute" to the fn+u,fn+a etc. keys ! (NOTE: since keyhelper was preinstalled and configured on my zaurus i can not really help you if you have problems).

nmap

You can download an ipk of the port scanner here. Other versions do not install properly on the sharp rom.

grep.all

grep.all is a shell script which greps all files in a given directory recursivly
Get the gziped script here.

splashscreen

splash screen This is my splash screen.
You can download it here

You can make your own splash screen by taking any 32 bit 320x240 bmp graphics file and copying it to /opt/QtPalmtop/pics/Startup_screen.bmp .
Just remeber that the picture is "sideways" (button is on the left)
